I help people make peace with food, and themselves, without dieting, shame, or guilt. Because your body was never the problem.
Hi, I’m Heather Rudalavage, a fat-positive, weight-inclusive Registered Dietitian, Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor®, and Certified Body Trust® Provider.
I founded Intuitive Nutrition in 2009 to help people rebuild trust with their bodies, and to support RDs who want to do the same for their clients.
As a post-menopausal mom of three grown children, I know firsthand how a changing body can stir up complicated emotions (even when you “know better”).
That lived experience is part of why I do this work. I understand what it’s like to feel disconnected from your body and to want peace more than perfection.
I also know the incredible relief that comes when the lightbulb finally turns on. When you realize it’s not about willpower, but about compassion, curiosity, and body trust.
That moment, watching my clients exhale, cry, or smile with relief, is what I love most about this work.
You won’t find diet rules or rigid goals here. What you will find is a collaborative process that helps you explore the thoughts, beliefs, and stories that shape your relationship with food and your body.
Together, we’ll:
-
Get curious about where your food and body beliefs come from
-
Gently challenge what no longer serves you
-
Reframe those thoughts through compassion
-
Build trust in your body’s wisdom
This is how true, sustainable change happens. Not through restriction, but through connection.
Client Testimonial
“I am grateful to have Heather on my team! Her knowledge and skills as an intuitive eating nutritionist have helped me cope with disordered eating. Heather is genuine, caring, and supportive. I especially appreciate the fact that she is open to discussing my recovery from alcohol. Her gentle approach has encouraged me to make consistent progress in my recovery since our first session. I highly recommend Heather’s coaching services for anyone interested in exploring their relationship with food. ”

When I'm not in session, you’ll probably find me traveling (20+ countries and counting), baking, knitting, or working on my novel set in 1950s Ireland.
I’m married to my high school sweetheart, and while my kids are grown, they still keep me laughing and call or text, usually for recipes.
My Promise
You’ll never be told to lose weight to be worthy of care.
But if weight loss is still on your mind, that’s okay too. It’s all part of your story, and we can talk about it.
My job is to help you find peace, not pressure.
