You’ve done the work, but food still feels complicated.

You’ve read the books, followed the IE accounts, maybe even worked with other dietitians.
So why does it still feel like you’re missing something?

You’re not failing. You just haven’t had the kind of guidance that gets underneath the “what” of eating and explores the “why.”

Let's get curious together

Whether you’ve tried to “eat intuitively,” experimented with every diet under the sun, or are simply tired of thinking about food all the time, you’re not alone.
Many of my clients arrive here feeling frustrated, skeptical, and emotionally worn out. They’ve tried to do everything “right,” yet still feel anxious around food or uncomfortable in their bodies.

In our work together, we don’t fixate on rules or results. We get curious about the thoughts and beliefs that drive your patterns around food, movement, and self-care.
By exploring these root beliefs and meeting them with compassion instead of criticism, we begin to neutralize them.

That’s the real work that shifts behavior for good.

The Truth About Change

If intuitive eating or Health at Every Size® hasn’t “worked” for you yet, it’s not because you’ve done it wrong.
Most people try to change behaviors without addressing the deeper belief systems underneath, and that’s what keeps them stuck.
Our work focuses on rebuilding trust in your body while gently unraveling the old stories that make food feel so fraught.

What We'll Explore

Every person’s journey is unique, but together we might:

  • Untangle guilt and anxiety around food choices

  • Explore emotional eating patterns and what they’re trying to tell you

  • Discuss medical trauma, chronic health conditions, or body image distress with compassion

  • Process fears about “ultra-processed” foods and confusing wellness messages

  • Talk through the current cultural pressures, including GLP-1 medications, so you can make informed, values-aligned choices for your body

  • Build a more trusting, peaceful relationship with food and with yourself

What Working Together Feels Like

Our sessions are collaborative. No two processes look alike.

Some days we’ll problem-solve practical challenges (meals, routines, hunger cues).

Other days, we’ll dig deeper into mindset, identity, and the emotions that show up along the way.

You’ll feel both supported and gently challenged, because actual change happens in the balance of compassion and curiosity.

Client Testimonial

“I met with Heather a few times when trying to make some changes to my diet. Though my initial concern was weight loss, I actually learned a lot about myself. I started to be able to identify thoughts and feelings surrounding my eating habits and I was much more in tune with my physical and emotional needs. Thanks, Heather for all of your help.”

You’ve spent enough time trying to figure this out on your own.
